Comment: Here comes the Polish influence from one side of the family (the other side is Italian) with what is called Polish Mizeria or translated and more commonly known as - Cucumbers in Sour Cream. It has a soft, tangy taste and goes well with roast pork, beef, ham, fish dishes or just about anything.

10 minutes + chill time of 1 hour

Ingredients:
2 large cucumbers peeled and sliced as thin as you can
1 medium onion, peeled and sliced as thin as you can
½ cup sour cream
2 tbls white vinegar
1 tsp salt
Preparation:cucumber salad
  1. Mix cucumbers and onions in a glass bowl.
  2. Add salt to vinegar, stir and pour over cucumbers & onions, coating thoroughly.
  3. Drain off the vinegar, add sour cream, stir so that all cucumbers & onions are coated and serve.
